Skylight recognized for innovation that supports service assurance
Accedian’s Skylight performance monitoring, management, and analytics platform is shortlisted for the 2019 MEF Award in the Service Assurance category.
Skylight enables service providers to proactively monitor network connectivity and enterprise service quality to assure performance and meet or exceed customers’ service level agreements (SLAs).
SD-WAN service providers need to manage performance of both the physical underlay network and the virtualized overlay network, as well as provide enterprises with continuous uptime reporting. This complete visibility will improve the reliability and performance of SD-WAN services (recently defined in MEF 70 SD-WAN standard) and in the future help deliver multi-vendor and inter-service provider SD-WAN services.
Skylight is also in the running to win a MEF 3.0 Proof of Concept Award; it is featured at spot 120 in the showcase, part of the PoC “Dynamic Connectivity and Commerce Enabled by MEF 3.0 and Blockchain,” presented by Accedian with participation from Amartus, clear, Colt, PCCW Global, Sparkle, and Tata Communications.
The PoC demonstrates how service providers can use standardized blockchain to streamline cumbersome, slow billing and settlement processes between operators for data on-demand services—and how this can be integrated into the MEF 3.0 LSO framework.
The MEF Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the global community committed to providing communications solutions optimized for the digital economy. Award winners will be unveiled during MEF19 (November 18-22) and celebrated November 19 during a gala dinner. MEF 3.0 PoC winners will be recognized November 20.
