In his role as Director of Business Analytics at Accedian, Scott is responsible for developing business intelligence models, reports, dashboards, and systems used in data discovery, predictive analytics, and visualization to support business processes and strategic planning, both internally by Accedian and by its telecom operator and enterprise customers. He also represents Accedian in analyst relations activities. Scott’s extensive experience in wireless, Carrier Ethernet and service assurance includes management, marketing, and engineering leadership roles at Performant Networks, MPB Communications, Minacom (Tektronix), Aethera Networks (Positron / Marconi), EXFO, and PerkinElmer Optoelectronics (EG&G). Scott holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and completed professional business management training at the John Molson School of Business, the Alliance Institute, and the Project Management Institute.

    Second Generation
    A cellular telecom network that uses second-generation wireless technology. Such networks digitally encrypt phone conversations, and allow data services including SMS text messages.


    Third Generation
    A cellular network that uses third-generation wireless technology based on standards that support wireless voice telephony, mobile and fixed internet access, video calls, and mobile TV. Such networks are capable of data transfer rates of at least 200 Kbps and as fast as 21 Mbps.
