What will you do?

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical services to our customers, such as Scripting , configuring, integrating, reporting, troubleshooting and training on our technology. You will also be expected to display strong consultancy skills, being able to listen to a customer’s challenges and then solve them.

You will also be expected to operate as a key link between the professional services organization conveying critical product and technology information back into the product management and R&D departments.

The role will include focus on capabilities to leverage the Accedian portfolio to translate technical output into positive business impacting outcomes for our customer base. You will need to have experience in applying your Ethernet background to new applications in the markets.

You will work in conjunction with our project management teams; you will be their key technical advisor on our product and solutions to ensure optimum delivery of our professional services. This is a role requiring travel and senior level interaction with our customers as well as internally at Accedian.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for writing effective python scripts, Improve functionality of existing systems, Integrate user-facing elements into applications, Test and debug programs
• Responsible for installation, commissioning, integration, system configuration, upgrades and use case creation.
• You will be seen as a senior network services engineer within our professional services team providing support regionally.
• Responsible for building knowledge and sharing that within the professional services team but more broadly into the organization too.
• You will be the trusted Accedian advisor to the customer
• Become proficient in the Accedian portfolio and be able to adapt the portfolio’s use to different customer challenges.
• Support our pre-sales and sales colleagues from time to time.
• Experience in mobile and wireline, a transport/backhaul network is essential.
• Comfortable with daily customer interactions, including delivering presentations as our expert on site to recommend measures for network improvements based on output coming from the Accedian portfolio.
• Write reports, technical answers to questions and manage collection of information from our solutions installed at customers.
• Analyze results and communicate them to the customer, highlighting performance degradation within their networks and provide recommended solutions.
• Help customers troubleshoot network issues identified by our solutions.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the technical services delivery process.
• Train our customers on solution to enhance their knowledge and usage of our products.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Must have between 7 to 9 years of prior experience working as a Network Engineer.
• Work experience as a Python Developer
• Valid CCNA certification would be an added advantage
• Previous experience on Accedian product line would be an added advantage
• Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)
• Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
• Display interpersonal skills that show confidence and the ability to communicate at both senior (Management) and junior levels within the customer organization
• Prior experience with Ethernet and IP products is mandatory.
• Prior understanding of technical services delivery is mandatory.
• Strong statistical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to understand, compile, evaluate, and present complex data and solutions.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python, UNIX, and scripting tools is an asset.
• Passionate and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry related experience.
• Must be prepared to pass MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional 2.0 course after hire with appropriate training.
• Must possess a strong focus on customer service and be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the services delivery cycle.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
• Must be able to maintain a functional home office and travel extensively
