RCR Wireless Webinar

April 28, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Subject: Building the Agile Mobile Network
Moderator: Kelly Hill, Editor, RCR Wireless News
Speaker: Michael Rezek, VP Business Development and Strategic Partnerships
Synopsis: Mobile networks need to draw lessons from cloud providers to adapt to new traffic, application and service demands that threaten to destabilize quality of experience, and limit opportunities for growth. Although trends are emerging, MNOs are still unsure how applications (video, IoT, wearables, etc.) will impact their networks.
Google, Facebook, Netflix, and other cloud operators, built networks from the ground up that react instantly to changing conditions, scale to meet demand, and optimize user experience using sophisticated analytics — addressing the uncertainty of user behavior with adaptive networks.
Building this logic into mobile networks requires combining real-time visibility, traffic inspection and policy enforcement with SDN control, and dynamic NFV orchestration. This webinar will show how leading MNOs like Telefonica, SK Telecom, NTT, AT&T and others are building the foundation for this transformation, and how their efforts are already changing the way they deliver VoLTE, video and mobile broadband to their subscribers.

Light Reading Webinar

November 15, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Subject: The Future of QoE Monitoring in Virtualized Networks
Speakers: Sandra O’Boyle, Senior Analyst, Customer Experience & Analytics, Heavy Reading; Ken Gold, Director, Solutions Marketing, Accedian

Synopsis: Operators are challenged to deliver network performance, network coverage, and a better user experience, as well as launch new digital services more quickly at competitive prices.
At the technology level, operators are transforming networks and IT systems to be virtualized, software-based, cloud native, and more agile in terms of launching new services. How customers actually experience ‘service quality’ (QoE) needs to be monitored, as well as performance at a network or QoS level–across physical and virtual networks. This becomes even more critical in virtualized networks where services will be activated in real-time and need to be tested, fulfilled, and assured in an automated fashion.
In September 2016, Heavy Reading surveyed more than 90 mobile operators globally to understand their future plans for QoS and QoE performance monitoring during the transition to virtualized networks. This unique research uncovers critical insight on how operators are addressing their needs.
Join Ken Gold, Director of Solutions Marketing at Accedian and Sandra O’Boyle, Senior Analyst at Heavy Reading, as they share operator insights across key regions and discuss cost-effective strategies for monitoring the performance of virtual infrastructure and critical services.

Virtualized Performance Management for Next-Gen Networks

December 15, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

As networks become more complex, virtualized performance assurance and management is taking its place as a vital part of operators’ business strategies. That’s because user quality of experience is becoming the prime differentiator between network operators, and it’s only possible to succeed in this new reality when full network performance visibility is available. Virtualization makes this possible in a manner that’s affordable and adaptable enough for a rapidly changing market.

During this webinar, Accedian’s Regional VP Business Development & Solutions Engineering, Ramiro Nobre, will explore the dynamics of performance management for complex, next-generation networks, and discuss how operators are using the SkyLIGHT platform to gain the crucial elements of visibility and control needed to remain competitive.

Topics covered during the webinar include:

  • What operators say they’re struggling with the most
  • Service activation testing – options and why it matters
  • Performance management – options and why it matters
  • Fault isolation using accurate bandwidth utilization measurement
  • Real-world examples of operators’ success using virtualized instrumentation
  • Recent and future Accedian innovations
