Accedian takes pride in conducting business while meeting the highest standards of ethical conduct. We realize that a good reputation takes years to build, but it can be lost in seconds!
We want our business relationships and interactions with clients, suppliers, colleagues, and government officials to be, at all times, beyond reproach. We believe that responsible and professional conduct builds the trust and integrity needed to achieve our long-term success.
That being said, we realize that, as all other companies, we may, on occasion, be faced with challenging situations in the course of our daily business. This is a fact of life. To ensure that all our employees, consultants, board members, suppliers, resellers, agents, and other partners are always on the same page, and that we have the necessary tools to support us, we have created and relied on the Accedian Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
We pro-actively support efforts to eradicate the use of Conflict Minerals. As a company, it goes to the roots of our values to source materials from partners that share our values and commitment to the safety, health, and protection of people and the environment worldwide.
Accedian is committed to compliance with all applicable environmental regulations in each of the jurisdictions in which it operates. Accedian’s Environmental Policy Statement summarizes our commitment to integrate environmental considerations into our business activities in a view to reduce our ecological footprint. To meet this objective, Accedian endeavors to continuously improve environmental performance and to make robust environmental management integral to its overall strategy.
COMPLIANCE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS
Accedian is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations controlling the use of hazardous substances in its products and recycling of electrical and electronic materials, including the following regulations enacted by the European Union:
- Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations and Batteries Directive
- Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS)
- Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals Regulations (REACH)
CHARITABLE GIVING AND VOLUNTEERING
Accedian recognizes its corporate responsibility to contribute to the local communities in which our employees live and work. Accedian’s Community Service Program helps address the educational, physical, social, and healthcare needs of people in our local communities. Over the last few years, Accedian employees in the corporate head office have been involved in the yearly Centraide campaign and employees are encouraged to help support local charities and initiatives as a way of giving back to the community. More particularly, Accedian is a proud supporter of the Enbridge Ride to Support Cancer, a 2-day cycling event aimed to raise funds to support cancer research and care at the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital and throughout Quebec. A team of Accedian employees, including our President and CEO, are personally taking part to this cycling event.
