Skylight performance elements

Compact, efficient hardware devices for accurate microsecond latency and jitter assurance

Skylight elements are designed to collect performance data L2 (SOAM), L3 (TWAMP) and L4 (flowmeter bandwidth monitoring, SAT), packet capture (flow broker) and also bandwidth and port-level statistics – all continuously, in real time and at high volume.

Skylight elements are compact network interface devices (NIDs) that enable full performance and visibility of the network along with controlling that traffic by providing service creation & demarcation, micro-second shaping and full traffic management.

Skylight elements are available in a variety of sizes and port speeds from 1G to 100G.

Compact, efficient hardware

Skylight elements are available in a variety of sizes and port speeds from 1G to 100G.

Skylight Flex 100

The Flex 100 is a compact 4-port 100 gigabit Ethernet (100 GbE) platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. Designed for high-speed demarcation endpoints, the Flex 100 is ideal for 5G service demarcation, business Ethernet and service provider hand-off.

Skylight Flex 25

The Flex 25 is a next generation multi-port, 25 gigabit Ethernet platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. Designed for high-bandwidth and high availability applications requiring MEF-type service assurance, the Skylight Flex 25 is optimized for scalable service delivery and high-precision, granular real time performance monitoring.

Skylight element: LX

The LX element is a compact, 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit Ethernet (1/10 GbE) platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. Designed for high-availability applications requiring MEF-type service assurance, the LX is optimized for scalable service delivery and performance monitoring. Its design is ideal for deployment in space constrained environments for mobile backhaul and business Ethernet applications.

Skylight element: LT

The Skylight LT performance element is a dense multi-port, 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit Ethernet platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. It is an ideal edge, aggregation or External Network-to-Network Interface (ENNI) unit for demanding wireless backhaul, SLA-backed business services, Ethernet wholesale and dark fiber termination applications. Switch-free-aggregation offers near-zero latency multi-services for multi-tenant and multi-operator endpoints.

Skylight element: GX

The Skylight GX performance element is a compact eight port 1 gigabit Ethernet platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. It is an ideal single on-premise endpoint for demanding wireless backhaul, SLA-backed business services, Ethernet wholesale and dark fiber termination applications. Switch-free aggregation, granular L2-4 traffic conditioning and MEF hierarchical-QoS flow prioritization also make the GX an important part of many service providers service enablement and demarcation applications.

Skylight element: GT

The Skylight GT performance element is a compact, 1 gigabit Ethernet platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. Mobile operators deploying Carrier Ethernet backhaul to macro-cell sites value the GT’s combined networking and standards-based QoS monitoring capabilities. Business Ethernet service providers value the unit’s exceptional feature set, reliability, versatile power options and performance monitoring, which also make it the perfect fit for small cell deployments.

Skylight element: TE & TE-R

The Skylight TE performance element is a compact, fanless, 1 gigabit Ethernet platform with ultra-low latency packet forwarding and jitter. The TE is an exceptional performance element, combining networking capabilities, MEF CE2.0 service creation and assurance along with the features of a high-end test set. Operationally efficient and packed with advanced troubleshooting tools, the TE is an award-winning, telecom-grade unit with a proven track record of delivering exceptional end-to-end performance year-after-year.
