Skylight sensor agents can generate thousands of performance management sessions in order to actively monitor network performance and end user application experience.
Skylight sensor agents are small software services that provide active test traffic from layers 2 through 7.
You can use sensor agents to generate performance data on Layer 2 Ethernet (SOAM), Layer 3 IP (TWAMP, path tracing), Layer 4 (RFC 6349) and Layer 7 protocols.
Sensor agents can be deployed as software microservices on Skylight platforms (sensor control and elements), on open compute platforms (x86, vCPE or uCPE, or public cloud platforms) and even on mobile and embedded devices.
You can use sensor agents to generate performance data on Layer 2 Ethernet (SOAM), Layer 3 IP (TWAMP, path tracing), Layer 4 (RFC 6349) and Layer 7 protocols.
