Paul Thompson

Paul has been a part of the Accedian family for 7 years now as the EMEA Director of Solution Engineering, leading a team of 10 Solution Consultants on a mix of carrier and enterprise opportunities. Overall, Paul's career in the telecoms sector spans over 25 years on the vendor side, starting with Marconi Communications during most of the 1990s and then moving on to NEC Corporation and Tellabs before joining Accedian in 2013. Paul's main industry interests are around automation and Machine Learning techniques, as well as mobile network infrastructure and technologies. Away from telecoms, Paul's main interests and focus are on his wonderful children, astrophysics, anything with an engine, mountain biking and foreign travel (especially to anywhere Spanish speaking or with history linked to Spain).
