Location: Remote work with occasional presence required at our office in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, if/when needed.

Accedian develops best-in-class network monitoring solutions, based on award-winning hardware, FPGA and software solutions that are deployed in carrier Ethernet networks and on enterprise premises.

What you will do

We are seeking an experienced “Senior Technical Architect” to join our team and drive the development of carrier grade Ethernet network elements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hardware design, FPGA design, and software design, and will be responsible for defining and designing products and product features to deliver high-performance and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of carrier grade ethernet network elements for applications in use cases such as 5G backhaul and carrier Ethernet networks or equivalent carrier grade networks (e.g MPLS, PBN, etc.)
  • Define technical requirements and drive the development of hardware, FPGA, and software solutions
  • Apply a rich understanding of customer needs and industry standards to design competitive value add product features
  • Decompose complex systems into independent decoupled, scalable and reusable components
  • Perform functional allocation of features across hardware, commercial ASIC based bridging products, custom FPGA based solutions and software applications
  • Collaborate with local and remote teams and partners to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with product teams within the organization to ensure integration and interoperability of network elements with other tools and product
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team’s solutions remain cutting-edge

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of combined experience in hardware design, FPGA design, and software design for carrier grade network elements
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and protocols related to carrier grade ethernet networks
  • Excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
