What we do

Accedian develops best-in-class network monitoring solutions, based on award-winning hardware, FPGA and software solutions that are deployed in carrier Ethernet networks and on enterprise premises.

What you will do

We want you to be a part of an awesome international team as we fulfill the direction of Accedian’s Analytics product line. We operate in a “You build it, you run it” mode, where everyone is actively participating in maintaining and improving our software. 

In this role, will be an active member of the level 4 support team trouble shooting production issues, providing solutions where possible, and contributing to code reviews. Opportunities exist  to do design, implementation, testing, and delivery of state-of-the-art engineering development and workflow infrastructure.

Your initial responsibilities will include (but will be far from limited to) the following topics:

• Demonstrate an ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to the solution as needed
• Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements
• Data acquisition, a high-throughput, low-latency real-time data feeds platform
• Analytics Engine
• Database and data models, from TimeSeries DBs to GraphDBs
• Multidimensional and scalable time sensitive query design and optimization 
• Participate in the design of local clusters and cloud deployments

Technical Skills

We are confident that quality individuals can learn just about anything. We are currently hovering around these technologies and would require the following skills. The more experience the better! Strong design skills in realizing scalable software solutions is definitely an asset.

• Language for machine: GoLang, and any other language. Scala definitely an asset. Apache Spark or similar is an asset. 
• Language for Human: Strong written and spoken English. French is an asset.
• Databases: Experience with any of the following is an asset: Scalable Time Series database (Druid, Clickhouse), document databases (CouchDB, elasticsearch), Graph DB (Dgraph and the like), Prometheus
• OS and cloud:   Elastic and clustered deployments. GCE, AWS, Docker, K8s, VMWare, KVM, and stuff.
• Software Monitoring: Any Experience with Software Monitoring stacks such as Grafana/Prometheus, etc. is an asset

Schedule

• 8 hours per day
• Monday to Friday
