Accedian develops best-in-class network monitoring solutions, based on award-winning hardware, FPGA and software solutions that are deployed in carrier Ethernet networks and on enterprise premises.

What you will do

We want you to be a part of an awesome international team as we fulfill the direction of Accedian’s Analytics product line. We operate in a “You build it, you run it” mode, where everyone is actively participating in maintaining and improving our software. 

A software quality assurance engineer helps meet deadlines by breaking up the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the development and product teams or leaders. As part of the team you will design automated code tests, identify software bugs, and help to resolve the problems identified. You will also collaborate with other members of the team to create effective tests for new software

Your initial responsibilities will include (but will be far from limited to) the following topics:

  • Demonstrate an ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to the solution as needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements
  • Data acquisition, a high-throughput, low-latency real-time data feeds platform
  • Analytics Engine
  • Database and data models, from TimeSeries DBs to GraphDBs
  • Multidimensional and scalable time sensitive query design and optimization 
  • Participate in the design and maintenance of local clusters and cloud deployments

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manual testing experience
  • Experience with analyzing logs 
  • Ability to create, update and review test documentation
  • Strong work ethic with a POSITIVE attitude and a PASSION for Quality Assurance.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Proactively drive all testing activities
  • Execute manual regression tests for new software versions to ensure product functionality and investigate any issues that appear during testing
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
  • Participate with the development team and product management to understand upcoming new features and create new test cases
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
  • Collaborate closely with other team and cross-functional departments
  • Continuously improve processes

Schedule

  • 8 hours per day
  • Monday to Friday
