The Skylight capture sensor provides lightweight passive analysis of network traffic from Layer 2 to Layer 7 on physical, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure for complete visibility and maximum control over end user experience.
The capture sensor captures all network traffic between users and infrastructure (North-South) and between virtualized infrastructure resources (East-West). It turns that traffic into high-density metadata to reduce the amount of data sent over the network.
It can also capture line rate traffic inside a public cloud in order to see performance, not only between servers but also between each application and end user.

You can use the Skylight capture sensor to generate performance statistics for Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP and application-level transactions – all in real time and at line rates above 10Gbps.
The Skylight capture sensor can be deployed as software microservices on open compute platforms (x86, vCPE or uCPE, cloud servers) and public cloud platforms.
